Elephant Tracks

First off, here is some information about the Candy Shoppe. The Candy Shop is 24 years old. There are 33 regular flavors, 1 sugarless, and 2 frozen yogurt flavors. Allison works there, and her favorite flavor is Elephant Tracks (what we had today!) The best seller is Cookie Dough and Elephant Tracks (what we had today!) They don't make their ice cream, they get it from Cedar Crest.

Now, for the review. I think Elephant tracks is sweet and creamy. It has a chocolate flavor and some Reese's peanut buttercups. I like it specially because it is a little bitter but sweet too. At first I thought it had nuts, and I tried to avoid them, but then Carver told me they were Reese's peanut butter cups. I didn't believe him, but then I tasted one and they were. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Carver had ice cream too. He had Root Beer Twister. He says it was good, but I will try it later and talk about it on this blog.

  1. Emily, great idea for a blog! Why do you think they call it Elephant Tracks?

  2. Because elephant tracks are brown and the ice cream looks like it has tracks in it. Thanks for the comment.

  5. Liz and Emily- This is a great summer project. Maisie and I are going to keep watching this blog to see how it goes throughout the summer.

Maisie (who is five years old and lives in South Bend, Indiana) loved your description Emily! She wishes that she could taste some Elephant Tracks, but we don't have it here.

  6. Do they have any ice cream that a vegan can eat?

One thing that I would like to read about in the future, when you have the time, is what kind of cones they use and which one you prefer.

    Enjoy the ice cream!

  7. My favorites are butter pecan, butter brickle (that one might be hard to find), and cookies & cream...not in that order. I look forward to reading more reviews in the future...rock on.

  8. This is a great idea. Resonates a bit with JULIE & JULIA. Do you have a movie offer yet? Are you learning abut how ice cram is made too? And how the cows feel about it? HAVE FUN.
